Programs for Travelers
World Travel 101
Travel Education Week:
February 28-March 7, 2009
In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Hostelling International USA (HI-USA) and the 100th Anniversary of the worldwide hostelling movement, local HI-USA councils around the United States will host travel education workshops as part of Travel Education Week.
HI-USA’s travel education workshops are designed for novice travelers who want to be better prepared for travel, whether here in the United States or abroad. Emphasizing how to travel safely, affordably, and responsibly, workshop topics include planning and budgeting, accommodations and transportation, and respecting cultural differences. Admission is free. Presentations will be offered around the country; check below for presentations in your area. HI-USA travel education programs are offered year-round; click here <http://www.hiusa.org/about/loc-councils.shtml#dropdown> to connect with your local council and learn about programs near you!
